We are pleased to have the Beyond the Grid (“BTG”) Fund showcased in a case study published by the Global Impact Investing Network (“GIIN”) for its Climate Investing Track. This workstream seeks to mobilize capital toward investments that mitigate climate change while engaging investors around targeted impact objectives and sectors.
The case study highlights the motivation, structure, and underlying assets of BTG and finishes with lessons that we have learned through our experience providing debt capital to the off-grid solar sector in developing countries.
This review of our first debt fund coincides with the exciting news of OPIC’s $25m commitment to our new $85m Solar Energy Transformation (“SET”) Fund. As we use our expertise and track record to grow and scale, we think it is important to disseminate market knowledge and best practices to a wider audience within both the impact investing and energy access industries. We are pleased to be showcased by the GIIN and have the BTG Fund represent one of the educational resources they are offering to climate investors globally.
