DEBT FUNDS DIRECTOR

Location: Flexible. London preferred

Responsibilities

The Debt Funds Director will play a key role for SunFunder helping to unlock billions to scale climate investments in emerging markets and underserved communities. They will be responsible for structuring and raising a new multi-hundred million debt fund focused on clean energy transition in emerging markets, and future funds in other climate finance sectors. 

 

The role is well-suited to an experienced finance professional with strong existing relationships with private and public sector investors and donors, who is an excellent communicator with an entrepreneurial mindset and passionate about achieving scalable impact at the intersection of climate change and inequality. 

The Debt Funds Director will report to our CEO and work closely with members of our Leadership Team.

PARTNERSHIPS ASSOCIATE

Location: Flexible within the UK & EU (London preferred)

Responsibilities

 

The Partnerships Associate will support the management of partnerships, fundraising, grant management, marketing & communications,  and ad-hoc support of strategic projects. They will possess outstanding communication skills, be highly organised, willing to tackle diverse tasks and passionate about seeing projects through to completion. 

 

As all other team members, this person must have  an entrepreneurial mindset and exhibit passion about social and climate impact at the business end of clean energy finance, energy access and/or sustainable development.

 

The Partnerships Associate  will work closely with our Head of Strategic Partnerships and Chief Commercial Officer.

The Senior Investment Officer (“Sr. IO”) will report to the Head of Investments and be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, driving transactions, structuring innovative and bankable solutions, and growing our loan portfolio across Africa and Asia.

 

They will also be required to lead arrange and structure syndicated transactions.

 

The candidate will have existing networks in SunFunder’s investment arena and be able to hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

 

The Investor Relations Associate will play a key role in our efforts to raise capital for climate and clean energy investments in emerging markets and underserved communities. This position will provide direct support to our CEO and Director of Debt Funds on our debt and equity fundraising goals, and play a key role in investor marketing and communications. 

 

The role is well-suited to someone looking to build a career in climate and clean energy finance, who is highly organized with outstanding communication skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and passionate about achieving scalable impact at the intersection of climate change and inequality. The Investor Relations Associate will be a go-to person to our CEO at a time where SunFunder is rapidly scaling and plans to raise a $300m-$500m fund dedicated to climate impact. This is an exciting opportunity for someone willing to roll up their sleeves and excited to deliver;  no matter how big or small the task.
